Facebook Celebrates Pride With New Feature That Lets User Express Support for Marriage Equality Why You Change Yours ?

Facebook has launched a tool that lets users show their support of marriage equality. Facebook’s “Celebrate Pride” toolwasannounced by co-founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg. The tool was launched shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is now considered a fundamentalconstitutional right right guaranteed under the 14th Amendment.
By visiting the “Celebrate Pride” tool on Facebook, you will see a preview of your profile picture with a rainbow filter. If you click “use as profile picture,” then your existing profile photo will be uploaded with the rainbow filter.
Of course in India, gay marriage is a distant dream since our own Supreme Court had ruled on December 11, 2013 , that Section 377 which criminalises homosexual acts was still legal. The Supreme Court of India said courts are not the appropriate authority to strike down Section 377 and it is the Parliament which has to legislate upon the matter.
